Charlotte Mirembe is the head of human resources and administration at Population Services International (PSI) Uganda, a position she has held since 2024.
She leads the organisation’s people and culture function, supporting PSI Uganda, its affiliate PACE and VIYA.
Before becoming head of HR and administration, Charlotte served as PSI Uganda’s human resource and administration manager.
Previously, she was the human resource and administration manager at the Danish Refugee Council, covering Uganda and Tanzania, where she led compensation reviews, strengthened learning systems, enhanced medical benefits and rolled out DRC Dynamics, the organisation’s HR information management system.
Earlier, Charlotte held senior roles at Mengo Hospital, BRAC Uganda and the Uganda Securities Exchange, where she introduced policy reforms, performance frameworks, leadership programmes and staff welfare systems that improved organisational effectiveness and retention.
She began her career as a research assistant at the Law Development Centre in Kampala.
