Rabina Masanja Rienks is the executive head of people and culture at Stanbic Bank Tanzania.

Rabina joined Stanbic Bank Tanzania in March 2023 after a series of strategic leadership roles in human resources across Africa. She was people director, South-East Africa at AB InBev from April 2022 to February 2023, overseeing a workforce of around 5,000 employees across Tanzania, Mozambique, Uganda, Zambia and Botswana.

Before this, she served as people director, East Africa & Tanzania Breweries from April 2021 to March 2022, focusing on strategic people initiatives.

Her career in human capital spans multiple sectors and countries. Between August 2020 and March 2021, she worked for Standard Bank Group, supporting the design and delivery of human capital initiatives across 19 African countries. Prior to that, at Stanbic Bank Tanzania, she held senior HR Business Partner roles, partnering with business leaders to align people practices with organisational priorities and drive performance.

She has also worked in HR leadership roles at Letshego Tanzania, Standard Chartered Bank, and began her HR career through the human resources international graduate programme.

Rabina holds a BSc in business and public policy and management from Aston University in Birmingham, United Kingdom. She also completed a higher national certificate in applied sciences at Adam Smith College in Scotland and is a certified executive and management coach from the University of Cape Town.
