Lilian Mburu is the head of human resources for Kenya at Engie Energy Access Kenya.
Prior to joining Engie Energy Access in June 2024, Lilian served as CHRO at Furniture Palace International (K) from January 2023 to May 2024, providing strategic leadership in HR, performance management, talent development, and employee engagement. From January 2022 to December 2022, she held the role of human resources manager at the same company.
Lilian also spent over six years at Wadi Degla Investments (K) as head of HR.
She began her HR career as a human resources assistant at ICEA Lion Group and held earlier HR and administration roles at Leisure & Travel Guide East Africa and Stanbic Bank Kenya.
Lilian is pursuing a master’s degree in industrial and organisational psychology – leadership development and coaching from Walden University. She holds a higher diploma in human resource management from the Institute of Human Resource Management, and a bachelor of arts in sociology & communication from the University of Nairobi .
She has also completed a HR metrics and dashboarding certificate from AIHR | Academy to Innovate HR.
