Gerishen Katieno is the CHRO at Saruni Basecamp.
A role he has held since December 2021. Prior to this, Gerishen served as business transformation lead at Saruni Basecamp.
He also worked as lead advisor for talent and culture at Computech, overseeing HR strategy across five countries in East Africa.
Earlier in his career, Gerishen held senior HR leadership roles in hospitality and healthcare, including as group HR manager for The Concord Hotels and Donyoville Holdings. He also worked as a HR business partner with Bellhouse Consultants, project HR advisor for Help Heal Kenya.
He began his career as an HR assistant at Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital.
Gerishen holds an MBA for executives from Strathmore University, with an additional Pan Africa EMBA module from IESE Business School. He is a certified human resources professional (CHRP-K) and holds a higher diploma in HR management from the College of Human Resource Management. His academic foundation includes a BCom in management from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) and a diploma in business administration from the Technical University of Kenya.
